I am pretty sure ZoneAlarm 6.1 is much better than the Windows Firewall. The question is this: For a home user is it really necessary to use ZoneAlarm over Windows firewall? I mainly play PC games (online and off) as well as use some P2P apps (rarely) and Usenet.

ZA isnt necessary per se, as the Windows Firewall does cover inbound scans.

id recommend the ZA firewall at the very least, but u would need some knowledge to be able to properly interpret the outbound alerts.

also, last i heard, ZA isnt that good for p2p anyways.
