I am running Win Vista Ultimat OS on my Toshiba P200 satellite notbook PC and it has got Windows Defender on it. Do I really need it, and if not how can I remove it ?

My current security apps on my laptop are:

    NOD32 AV
    SpyBot S&D
Using Windows FW but only temporarily until I find something bit better.

I dont want to end up installing every security app on my laptop as I believe the more you put on the more system resurces you will end up consuming.

I think that as it is integrated with Windows, I may as well keep it on. I haven't had any spyware for 3 years because I always run sandboxed which means I don't need any antispyware application. I have no idea how effective it is, although being a MS supporter, I don't think WD is really as bad as some people describe it.

I definitely prefer WD to Spybot S&D.
