    Hi :)

My Windows 8 PC can not load drivers for the following even though the drivers are in my system: WAN Miniport (Network Monitor); WAN Miniport (IPv6); WAN Miniport (IP).

This failure occurred around the time I installed KIS 2014.

First, I have no idea what WAN is :) Are these devices necessary? Is there something in KIS 2014 that blocks them from loading intentionally? Does KIS 2014 have something that substitutes for them. Is WAN necessary.

Device manager says that these devices are not working because Windows does not load them. When I try to "Update Drivers" Windows says that no update is necessary cuz I have the latest drivers.

I have not noticed any new problems in the actual functioning of my PC since this "problem" appeared.

    Should I just ignore this?

Any information or help on this would be appreciated.

Maybe the information here will help.

If not, there's plenty of info which can found from a Google search.

The WAN miniport driver ensures AOL wireless connectivity. I had problems with getting online with AOL until I set the WAN miniport driver to automatic start. Now I connect online with no problems. :thumb:
