I read several threads last month that talked about issues running 3.2 with windows 98 / ME. For some reason I can't find the threads again but was wondering if this issue had been replicated and resolved. I have several 98 machines that I would like to run SB 3.2 on but am hoping this gets fixed prior to trying it.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

The issue affects only a very small percentage of Windows 98/ME machines, and the only end result is that SpywareBlaster will crash when you try to run it.

The problem has been replicated, and a solution is being worked on, however it is extremely likely none of your machines will be affected, and you'll be able to use SpywareBlaster 3.2 without problems. :)

    Best regards,

Thank you all for the response and I'll definitely move forward with installation as well as keep a look out for the update/patch/next release that contains the fix just in case the issue shows up.

    Hey all.

I'm one of the ones that can't run SpywareBlaster 3.2 on my own Win98SE machine.

I actually uninstalled the previous working version of Spywareblaster to install the current one, and I get the following message in a splash box when I try to run the new version:

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

Maybe this information will help you get the fix in the works!

By the way, I downloaded this to two friends' Win98SE machines, and it worked just fine on theirs. I'm the unlucky one.

Any idea where I can get the previous version to reinstall in the meantime? I have deleted the original install for the previous version, and I'm stuck.

    Right now, I'm unprotected!
