Hi all. Recently I have been getting a pop up after bootup on occasion that says: "Failed to connect to a Windows Service. Windows couldn't connect to the group policy client service, this problem prevents standard users from signing in. As an Administrator, you can review." There are no other people who log in, and I have no problem logging in. Can someone please advise me on this? Thanks.
12 page thread here, all with your issue over 3 years (including Win 10 machines). Looks like you may have some reading to do. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...y/b73107f8-8447-4599-87a5-65ecc6a63aa0?page=1
Hi stapp, Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. FYI Yesterday my WIN10 was doing strange things all day. I heard about the impending WIN10 updates, so I went to Settings>Update and Security, to find that page blank and unresponsive. Earlier I attempted to boot up and a message appeared on a screen saying "the task you are trying to do can't be completed because remote desktop services is currently busy. Try again later." The computer eventually booted. Last night, I was re-booting for an unrelated reason, and a window appeared saying windows is updating at 30%, and it completed. I checked the settings>Update and Security again and the page was back to normal. Could they do updates without any warning making your computer do screwy things all day, making you wonder what's going on, and then without warning show the updates finishing up? If that's what we have to look forward to I'm not happy.
