Recently, I enabled LnS' SPF function from the advanced menu. Since then I have noticed a lot of log activity regarding a game I play and SPF, could this adversely affect me in anyway? Why is SPF working so much with my game?

Also, I know my router has "Port Scan and DoS Protection" enabled as well as Secured NAT filtering and whatever else would come with a Netgear router. Do I need SPF enabled on my software firewall?

Heading off to bed now, but merge the following and restart, the SPF table is very limited by default with simultaneous connections.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\lnsfw]
    "MaxSPIEntries"=dword:00000200

Navigated to that registry and fond something close to what you mentioned. I right clicked but only saw an option to modify and not merge. I changed the value from 100 to 200. Still getting a whole lot of SPI logs for my Second Life game.

Create a new text document on your Desktop, copy what is in bold and save and rename the file extension to .reg and double-click to execute.

Revert back the change you made in the registry

    still getting logs

FYI, i successfully added your updates and reinstalled the rules we worked on. Maybe I missed something? I'm still reading through my previous questions. *puppy*

i had to add the registry item again, would updating with your Deluxe tool have erased it?

Yes, because that registry tweak is maintained through the ForceConfig.ini file, so no value will delete the existing registry item, I suppose I can have it 0 make it delete item and for a empty ForceConfig value to leave things be, sounds good?

Thanks Phant0m it's solved. I did however see something int he logs i do not recognize, can you tell me if it's anything to worry about?

As for the registry key, I didn't understand everything you said but if you think it's a good idea then please do it haha. I don't really mind having to re add it, it only takes a second

Through ForceConfig.ini this registry tweak is maintained, so you can add or delete to or from.

    [lnsfw_flags]
    MaxSPIEntries=

empty value for MaxSPIEntries tweak (by default empty) causes MaxSPIEntries to be deleted, if you want to add you specify the number there for its value.

I can have it either REM’d out to leave this item be in the registry or have it only delete if the value is 0 for MaxSPIEntries value in the ForceConfig.ini file.

Hey Phant0m, after I closed the game it seems like all the logs that did not show up just suddenly started flooding in. It's still generating as we speak

Not SPI alerts, also this is normal, the rule that was allowing is associated with the game file, once you close the rule no longer silently accepting. You can create another rule and place below the authorizing rule to block silently these game packets.
