Now don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to learn something. I have TDS 3 and NOD 32. Why would I need Worm Guard? How does the protection differ?
TDS detects Trojans, NOD detect viri, WG Worms Wormguard analyzes code before it's getting executed for dubious actions and doesn't rely on a database. Dolf
Hi William, Yes it does but it relies primarily on signatures though it does have a heuristic element to it. Wormguard is geared almost exclusively on heuristic analysis of files exhibiting worm-like behaviour. Also, while NOD tries to work against virii, trojans and worms, Wormguard is geared specifically against worms.
WilliamP, It is just another level of a layered defence, all such layers move you to a safer environment. Whether you choose to take thas path is up to you.
