Why there is still no official 64 bit Firefox?

    I think they already are - I've seen at least a few topics about getting the start menu back for 8. Haven't bothered clicking one though, I don't mind Metro a bit so far.

    I'll no doubt eventually buy a new computer with Win 8 pre-installed. I am tempted to go Mac, but I'll probably stay with Windows. I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Either way, I will go with 64 bit for my next laptop.

    Or you wait 3 more years before you buy your laptop and get windows 9 on it.

    I've noticed a distinct performance increase with Firefox Nightly 64 bit on my i7 Windows 7 rig.

    First hand experience isn't placebo everytime.

    nope, huge improvement here in Pale moon 64 vs FF 32/Chrome 32. my system is single core 1.5 ghz core solo so probably that's the reason. also opera 64 is the fastest browser around on my laptop, however they have a little bit of stability issues and poor forum support.
