why can't backup to backup server?

    i'm trying TIES 9.1 and having strange problem. i can backup to local drive or to network share, but not on the backup server. the following error returns
    "Failed to open the storage server device/file bsp://comp name/\backupserver\BackupServer||\| for write: 262*145."
    the path looks strange and what is this supposed to mean?

    aha, it works fine if backup location is located on the local drive of a backup server, but it doesn't work if it's on a network share. but if i'm choosing this same network share as the destination of the backup it works. so how is it possible to make this work?
