I use both Mcafee and Nod and can recommend both.
Nods record speaks for itself, and Mcafee are quiet reliable too, IF it works for you, that is.

Concerning PC Cillin, I think I have seen it offered lowered., but let me tell you.. On their website, they have it for the full retail price.. Then I go to housecall (their online virus checker), and they have it on for XX% cheaper... I consider that dirty business... Same thing with ZoneLabs, they do that sort of thing too...One link says one price, another says another, all within their own site, and I think that's dirty. Mind you, I am a ZAPRO user, so it's NOT the software I'm bashing, it is this price playing they do.

Panda always sends me junk email.. You gotta buy Panda Platinum 7, we're giving away XXXXX .. I consider that "impulse buying".. I like to test software, and if I don't like it, I SEND IT BACK AND GET A REFUND.. That $ that I save is nice, but won't influence me... Well, it did once, and I wasn't happy...

I am sorry, Q-Ball, and I'm not directing this to you, but Evidence Eliminator is not exactly my cup of tea.. I cannot respect a company that tries to make money out of peoples fears by advertising on banner sites at porn sites...Some companies give out rebates, some don't. I won't let that influence me in making a software purchasing decision. Of course I will investigate and ask, but I won't let that be my "make or break" point...

Pc Cillin, Norton, McAfee, and everyone else are nice, and they have their strong points, but they are not NOD32..

If you respond to sales@nod32.com and they give you a discount, they should offer it to me, Mickey the Man, Madsen, and so on and so forth, otherwise I won't be a fool and renew NOD32 next year based strictly on principle..... Unless you have helped ESET by referring it to others, that's different. But, hey man, you come here on ESET's forum, and say "I never pay retail".. Well, I'm not so interested in what you do, (you already made that clear, and that's fine)... I am more interested in seeing what ESET will do...Can you at least try to understand my point of view before you get mad..?

No hard feelings, it's just that I FEEL very strongly about this issue...

Well straight,i hate we got started on the wrong foot. I didnt come here to start anything but ive never been 1 to back down from anything.I think we both have made owr points known.

Now i cant base what i buy and for what price i buy it on what other people paid.I am a business owner and will always attempt to find the best price on anything-[I BEAT A PENNY TO DEATH]

We all are different and i respect that.

Now as for evidence eleminator--i dont like there tactics ive seen on net,but they make a great program--it sure did speed my computer up--it has a quick run feature that i run every night to clean out cookies browzer history etc--anything that had installed itself on your computer without your consent.

Now in the beginning i said I DONT PAY RETAIL--well we all know at one time or another we always end up paying retail for something we want.

I havnt tried to purchase nod 32 yet--im waiting on there next upgrade before i do--but if i did purchase it at a reduced price i see now i could not post that here.I could see earthquakes,floodes,falling brimstones happen.
Well maybe thats a little much ,but you get my meaning

I don't disagree with this statement. It does sometimes get confusing.

Well, I try to live up to my name...but the funny thing is, we are all engrossed in this discussion over $39! Yeah, if you are a business owner, Q-Ball, and you ae buying for more than 1 computer, believe me, I think you have EVERY right to try to get a discount... but, I have real working experience with NOD32 on a daily basis.. The MONEY it saved me in downtime and repairs have already gone over $1,000!!!!! compared to what I was doing before.. I'm even considering buying another license or two...

In regards to Evidence Eliminator, this is what I bought...

Just a tip in case you someday need another cleaner...

PS.. I heard Canon will be selling NoD32...Congrats!
PPS.. I can't wait to see the improvements NOD32 will have with the upcoming Beta 5 and compressed files..

PPSS.. I also am a registered user of Extendia AVK. While it is a fine AV, I prefer NOD for everyday usage. Also, let's hope GAV comes Gold in the near future...Now, there is a fine AV!!
