When is an update coming for Acronis True Image 9.1 workstation

as the title read, when the next version of true image 9.1 workstation going to be out?

 

Acronis doesn't release this kind of information. You'll just have to wait.

 

Well, slowly i believe that there will be no minor release anymore for 9.1 WS, but a major release, so that the customers have to pay bucks for it

Acronis Germany has also no informations about the timeline of the next release but they do know of some major problems with #3887. No Hotfix, nothing... It's just frustrating to invest time over time for troubleshooting and support tickets with no fixes at all. But unfortunately i see no real competitor product with equivalent features. It's really a mess...

Not only that, but many customers who paid for 3887 with UR cannot use the UR. Acronis has ripped them off since they have refused to fix the problem which has existed for over 6 months.

 

What is that problem, specifically?

The Universal Restore Option is missing when you boot from the Recovery Disk on build 3887. This is happening to many on this forum with no fixes posted by Acronis. Build 3633 works for me.

 

Acronis True Image 9.5 Workstation should be out in next 2 months I believe.

 

Universal Restore would not show up for me in 3887 either, until I stopped trying to enter a file name.

When it asks for the file name of the .tib files and the location, I simply pick a location and a directory, and NEVER change the file name which defaults to "MyBackup.tib" or something like that.

Then I click the "BACK" button. Then I click the "NEXT" button and the default file name is shown with the Drive and Directory I just selected, so I do NOT change it and click "NEXT".

Then when I use that backup-set to restore the image, I ALWAYS get the "Universal Restore" Option check box.

I hope this helps, I just wrote it up to being a bug. I hate that no one else noticed it was related to the file name.

I cannot wait to get v9.5, I hope it is fixed in it.

I will give that a try. If it works, you have solved a BIG problem that Acronis has not even bothered to comment on.
