Because it is difficult to know if a keylogger has not already inserted itself in your machine which would make your suggestion "useless".

I understand what you say. But if you say like that then can say it difficult to know if not already other virus in your machine. Ok? If you know how use app like sandboxie and use default deny then you safe. If you prevent infect in first place then you safe. but i know what you mean. you like layer protect like many on wilder. question is when stop the layer? do you need configure firewall also? if keylogger already on your machine then maybe your other data already stolen by trojan. Ok? Best to prevent this firstly. But yes if machine already infect then safeonline can use. I say that already on other thread. Sorry posting twice.

SafeOnline prevents any malware on my computer from reading banking credentials - see the Immunity testing report for a demo of this with various banking trojans.

Sandboxie does not in general prevent malware running outside the sandbox from compromising online banking. But I do use it essentially as you describe for 99% of my browing (and also for email and to sandbox removable drives and downloaded progarms). It's a wonderful progam but it's not the answer to everything.
