I have only $US700 to spend and need a new desk top computer. I only need the computer. No monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer or software (except the operating system) is needed.

Any recommendations? Anything that the Wizards of Wilders would suggest? I have my eye on the HP Pavilion a815n. Should I keep looking? If so, what do you guys recommend?

If the hp A815n has the features that you like it would be a good choice. I have owned at least seven HP's and they were all good comps. I have just never had a comp related problem. And hp comps are very upgradeable to be able to keep up with technology

I wish I could recommend something, but I just build them myself.

To stay that low on price I'd check out what there is to be had direct from IBM. I've been more than happy with everything I've gotten from there. I also admit my sister is an IBM accountant :D

Still, it's not like she ever pulled strings for me or anything like that, they just have some nice deals.
