I think that F-Prot deserves a big fat :thumb:

    1) They keep a low profile
    2) They work hard and improve
    3) They don't complain they got "standard" and they don't question the validity of tests/ratings with unsubstantiated claims.

    Way to go.

I have licenses for multiple products, while I won't name companies, F-Prot's Vista beta is more stable than other companies supposed released or Gold versions for Vista.

    Hi Flyrfan111,

Thanks for your input. I'm not questioning the stability of the F-Prot beta nor the quality of the company; instead, I'm asking when the "beta warning" will be recognized as not necessary/relevant by the F-Prot team themselves and, thus, removed from the installation warning.

    Thanks again.

    Regards,
    Jim

    Hi Jim

Welcome to Wilders. The beta warning will be removed, when the program is released. Every beta program I've worked with has that warning. What they are telling you is don't install it unless you have a good means of recovery. Beta software isn't release quality in a lot of cases and can do damage to your system.

    Hi Peter2150,

    Thanks for your advice.

I did sneak F-Prot on two machines running Vista Ultimate, and I had no problems whatsoever; nevertheless, when the good folks in Iceland see fit to remove the beta warning, I'll feel even more confident and will once again reinstall my multi-computer licenses with no hesitations or reservations.

    Regards,
    Jim

Agreed. But the price is attractive, compared to other AVs, only if you have multiple machines at Home.

In contrast the Corporate version is as "cheap as chips".
