You can try browsing to see if they have it listed, or use the search box on the left. Another option is to run a virtual machine in your computer for those few windows applications you need to run.

    Cheers,

    It's on the to-do list :)
    Lots of possibilities:
    - WINE (if supported)
    - Virtual machine.
    - Dual-boot.
    - Spare machine.
    - Asking the vendor for a Linux port.

It boots very fast since it's very basic (alpha stage). Don't try in VB, i had problems with networking, and upon search, found out that the people from that project don't like it and don't support it. Best bet is in VMware.

On topic, Debian for me, then Ubuntu perhaps.
Fedora looks interesting with the latest release, security wise (among other things), since it now has a GUI to configure SELinux.

USA still the best. But barely.
I'm glad advanced Linux users are sticking with PCLOS. Otherwise there'd be no help for newer Linux users like myself. So yes PCLOS is the easiest. But still very 1337. :D

Any favorable opinions on Open SuSe10? I got it on the ready for my very first install with it and from what i seen on a mock install it really looks good, but it has to perform as well.

Any thoughts? Experiences? I'm still slave to Windows.

It is great. I have it inside a virtual machine and everything is easy to use and customizable. If you need some help just ask me :D.

My fav OS is windows server 2003. I apply the xp conversion tool and i'm all good to go. From my experience its performance is better than xp.

I like / love them all

I think XP is slightly better than Vista only because I have not got used to Vista yet, I was taught on XP and 98. Linux is becoming a fast favourite too, although I cannot run my Knoppix CD, I think I messed up the download. My favourite is Linux distro is Ubuntu. Not had a go with a Mac yet but soon I hope!

No I don't have a life just computers! :D My first was a ZX Spectrum eons ago

I voted Linux but in actual fact I use Mac OS X (Design + fun) and Windows XP (work) as well but Ubuntu is my favorite.

Vista x64 most of the time--handwriting via a Wacom tablet is just too useful for someone
who writes equations a lot. I now have the easy entry of equations and diagrams I've always
wanted. Yay. Of course, nobody, myself included, can read my handwriting...but that's
another issue. ;) Also, Vista is really stable on my system (better than XP Pro) and I seem to be
one of the few not to turn off UAC. I find it puzzling so many hate UAC (I find it slightly less
bother than either 'su' or 'sudo' in UNIX).

    Other than Vista:
OpenBSD with fluxbox or ratpoison for a window manager when I (seldom) go into X.
Linux: Mostly Slackware. I've used Gentoo, SUSE, Linux from Scratch, RedHat, ...
But I find the user interface of most X Windows programs to be 'unfinished'.
Really good user interface programming is not easy or fun so nobody wants to do it for
    free (and I don't either).
Solaris: Took it off for Vista.

I love Windows 2000. It's just such a professional and stable system.
But for daily use I prefer XP. It just has some more options and more programs are able to run on it (games, IE 7 (which I don't use by the way), ad-aware 2007, etc.).

And about Vista: I don't know yet. I don't dislike the OS or something, and when I'm using it and I get back to XP, XP feels kinda "old" compared to Vista.
It's just I'm not used to it yet.

But for now I'm fine with XP (Pro).

Funny you're saying that. Two days ago I've received a package from Microsoft containing a home server 120 day trial.

My first test PC refused installation. Some error about initialization problems. My second test PC would run the installation, but because it would erase -all- my data (including other partitions) I've canceled it.
Finally I installed home server at Virtual PC 2007 and I already got a blue screen and it can't complete it's post-Windows installation (some configuration error when he's trying to configure the disks).

Although I haven't seen it run properly yet, I do think it's a stable system (yes I do!) because I've seen it has been based on Windows 2003 server and SBS.

my favourite would be openvms or as/400. runner-up is gentoo linux. (very specifically gentoo, i really can't stand ubuntu or any other debian derived :ouch:)

at the end of the day, i'm stuck with a boatload of win xp clients and server 2003 :ouch:

opensuse is quite nice, if you disregard the default problems when it comes to updating your system (never works out of the box) and playing potentially bad things like mp3's and wmv's.. then all is good.
