I'm not trying to re-hash the topic but I was wondering after reading at horizondatasys forum
what Todd will do with FD.

I also have FD-ISR server licenses and will hold off updating those machines for awhile because I like FD so much, but obviously not indefinitely.

    Todd?

Hopefully the forums here will stay so we can support each other.

I have the feeling that I didn't spend my money wisely when I bought FD PC Rescue, particularly in the light of the 'undeletable snapshot' that remains stuck to my harddrive unless I reimage.

This statement of obvious demise of the application is a clear sign that if we look at how in the last 3 years developers went about their choices, marketing and not quality had the greatest influence in the life expectancy of a particular product.

Antivirus companies which looked on the brink of becoming extinct are stronger than ever with the new in the cloud technology, backup solutions are also more and more popular, virtualizers/sandboxes/ISR/HIPS somehow looked very promising but remained the domain of the few, basically giving some applications a slow death(ShadowUser, FD ISR, ProSecurity etc).

Of course, you're not alone :)
FDISR (Leapfrog): Such a spectacular and useful tool.
For me still has some advantages over VMs, at the very least a great adjunct.
    I would certainly miss it.
I truly hope not, but....the end of the line may be nigh :(
