yea malware defender and sandboxie is a nice combination. Ran the same setup on two of my other computers which have a 32bit OS. However one strange thing I noticed was that MD didn't start with Windows when I rebooted. There was no tray icon but the policies seemed to be active which was confusing. Running sandboxie and Exe Radar free on these machines now which works quiet good as well.

That's strange, I never had that problem. It seems that service was running but GUI was not loaded.

I'm reading a lot of good feedback on Exe Radar. Some day I'll have to give it a try.

Yes it REALLY hard. I always feel "naked" without MD :)

    HOW ABOUT:
Malware Defender and Novirusthanks Radar Free?

It would be overlapping. They both have execution control. With configuring default rules, you can make MD an anti-executable only and it would work similar to EXE Radar Pro.

Not unless you learn first to Master your choice HIPS by configuring it intelligently. In my case EQS is a proven easy as pie to let go and not be interrupted unless i want to be by something i dictate it to get my attention with. ;)

    My security setup:

PIII running DOS and very, very old NetScape

    AND

    BasicLinux Ver. 2 with firewall.

This stuff is really fun, and with BL2, you just delete malware. Or you can email it to your EX!
