Comodo is a nice little program except ive noticed it causes problrms with some programs like my wifes copy of the sims2 with comodo on the laptop the sims always crashes without comodo it runs great. And this is after whitelisting all of the sims processes ect.

For a while I will go with phrase "Less is more". I removed Sandboxie and Outpost and enabled SRP for all users.

I have been running the new Avast IS 2014 release the past 24 hours and it now seems faster and smoother than it did a week ago. Just an observation.:thumb:

Okay i have revived my love affair with comodo and re-installed CIS 6.3 and some exclusions with the realtime scan have brought forth noticeable gains in performance.:thumb:

I have been a very long time user of comodo and had to re-install.:D

After running another AV with Webroot SecureAnywhere for a few days, I'm back to just WSA. Much simpler and has kept me safe so far.

@Quassar: are you running Malwarebytes in real time? Do you feel any slowdown using all those security apps?

  25. Windows 7 Ultmate 32 bits (E5200 dual core at 3 GHZ with 2GB Ram and SSD + 2xHDD + NAS & WL Router)

    Execution control
    - Deny execution of executables for Basic Users in user folders (SRP)
    - Deny elevation/installation of unsigned exectables and drivers (UAC)
    - Deny elevation of Outlook & IE11 by running them as Basic User (SRP)

    Intrusion mitigation
    - Filter Windows FW 2-way & disabled risk-ware services (MMC & GPO)
    - Locked user autoruns and security settings for vulnerable programs (ACL & GPO)
    - Memory protection (EMET), PDF/flash and IE11 in protected mode & virtualized (UAC & GPO)

    Safe-Hex habits
    - Download from trusted sources & check at Virus Total before installation
    - MSRT & HitmanPro scan before & after Microsoft's monthly patch tuesday
    - Web filtering through startpage search, IE 11's smart screen & Norton DNS

'Run as admin' requires credentials, elevation for Autoruns, CCleaner, HitmanPro & WifiGuard bypassed with 'elevated' task :D
