What Free AV do the experts use?

    Are you stating that all the free av are useless and do not help at all?

    But I dont think AVG detects as many virus as avast does. does it?

    Wouldn't any real "av expert" probably work for an av company,and hence their views are likely to be biased!(not forgetting the self proclaimed experts that post here!:-equally biased it seems!!!)

    I use AntiVir free.There are minor differences between Avast and AntiVir free versions.
    One is that Avast is more full-featured and it updates easier,especially if you have a dialup connection.

    It all comes down to personal preference.

    If you go by country alone, you'll miss out on a boatload of good products. Just because a government may act fishy, doesn't mean its citizens are the same.

    There's been enough speculation on what supposed experts would use, and, since everyone has managed to name either their favorite or current AV as the answer, this thread has gone far enough. That and the nasty comment about a country of origin for a product, makes this more than enough.
