After experimenting with my computer, and running a whole bunch of apps and cleaning up junk...i'm still wondering what else do i need. I need your oppinions on whether or not my set up is sufficient or not, and further more, I was hoping some of you would have some neat new ones i could add to the list. Heres the current set up:

    Nod32 Smart Security
    Avg Antispyware
    Threat Fire
    Hijack this
    Retunil (visualizer)
    Running Linksys Router (firewall enabled)
    And Sygate firewall.

    So...what else might i need?

U might not need AVG AS and HijackThis.

U might add a Sandbox like DefenceWall, GesWall or SBIE.

Nod32 Smart Security has a firewall built-in, so either you don't need Sygate or if you want to use Sygate as your firewall, make sure to disable NOD's firewall.

It isn't a good idea to mix NOD32/EAV 3.0 (proxy-based webscanner) with Sygate (buggy interception of localhost comms) for outbound control.

How do you know? I'd guess that you got scared by the silence of Threatfire or you tested it with leaktests.

Go to a malware infested site and tell me what you think.
Threatfire is a behav. blocker, so it will only alert on REAL malware (excepting FPs). It's blacklisting on steroids.
But, if you like zillons of pop-ups, install a classic HIPS without learning mode enabled.

Well maybe you can send me a list of malware infested sites so i can get myself screwed over, and see threat fire bail me out of it.

you can download a host file (like mvp hosts), and start visiting the sites listed there.
Also you could search for "virus download" on google, you might find some...

needless to say, don't do if you don't know what your doing, and don't forget to backup before playing with malware.

In about 30 days, come back and just try Eset Smart Security and Returnil. You might find it works just as well as Fort Knox.;)
