What av has the least impact on browsing

    Hello friends,is there an av that doesn't affect the speed of browsing the web?thx:)

    This is normally linked to your configuration and thus you will need to test your favorite programs to know exactly the impact on your system.
    Otherwise you will get here all sorts of "its fast" - "its slow" -"its good" - "its bad" that may not happen at all on your PC. :)

    I've read in this forum AVG FREE was FASTER than AVIRA FREE for the pc but AVG FREE doesn't have a "web protection module" in it, so it doesn't scan while browsing!
    Faster but "less protected" because of missing elements!

    WSA is the fastest and lightest on both the system and browsing.

    Avast's web and network shields are some of the best around. The web shield seems to catch the majority of malware. Avast is also very light on the system. At least it was for me.

    my best experience is with WSA and AVG Internet Security Premium. which i am using right now. :thumb:

    i do not understand their pricing though... you buy 3 it costs a lot you buy 10 it is only 43 bucks..... o_O o_O o_O o_O

    As long as an AV doesn't have a built in Firewall so it won't affect browsing.

    I recently ditched my BitDefender Internet Security 2013 because its firewall makes browsing very slow and I installed Eset Smart Security instead

    I think you have enough info to make an educated decision on what to try on your system.
