    Hi,
I'm looking for a new web based email and was wondering if anyone knows of any good ones besides Yahoo or Hotmail. Hopefully they will scan your incoming email for viruses and maybe have some type of spam blocker. I'm not really too concerned with a ton of space like Yahoo (250 MB) just something decent and safe. Thank you for posting with any helpful replies.

No contest really. Gmail is the one. The most uncluttered interface, the quickest site, brilliant fast searching and it's free. And no spam whatsoever, in my experience. Plus you get 2Gb storage with a Gmail account, which can be very useful.

The only minus I can think of is the lack of .exe attachments, which could be worked around by zipping the files first, although I haven't tried that myself.

[edit] Nope - I just tried it and my attachment was rejected because it contained an executable file within the zip. Oh well.
