VPN Leaks Info

    Been searching for a while now and am having trouble finding any useful information on preventing leaks while using a VPN.

    I have yet to setup a VPN account but from what I've read sometimes when a VPN disconnects, it keeps your internet running which is an obvious flaw. What is a solution to that?

    Please any more information on how to prevent leaks would be much appreciated, I run a tight ship and won't bother setting something up till I know I can set it up as close to 100% leak proof as possible.
