Vista security center lies

After removing antivirus software No security warning!. upon security center status check it says antivirus Is running and update when in fact there Is None On board.If any one else experience this.Here is a fix. Go to start>run>services.msc scroll down to Windows Management Instrumentation, double-click then pause the services,keep this window open now double-click computer,navigate to windows/system32/wbem look for repository folder and delete it,only delete repository folder.Now go back to window management instrumentation (WMI) restart this service this will rebuild and should correct the problem.This has happened to me several times and had to repeat which leave me to believe this one hell of a flaw.
