    Hi.

    Windows 2003 server, SP2 Nod 32 v 3.0.669.0.
When trying to update it fails with the following error.. "Virus signature database could not be updated." and then underneath it says "undocumented serious error (0x101a)"

This server also is the LANs Nod 32 mirror server and also has remote admin console installed. Ive tried changing the update server to itself, being the mirror and same thing happens.

    Anyone any ideas ?
The definition database is stuck on version 3369.

This error mainly appears when ekrn.exe cannot write to temp folders. Please check permissions for that folder and make sure the local system account has full rights granted. Also empty the folder if there are thousands of redundant temporary files.

The permissions on the temp folders were ok, I tried deleteing the contents of the "cache" in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\Updfiles"

Still the same error upon trying update.

Next checked the contents of c:\windows\temp. There were 2 NUPXXXX.tmp files in there that I could not delete as a process had them in use. Rebooted server, then deleted these files ok. Retried the Update process and it now worked ok.
