I have VirtualBox running in Ubuntu.
I want to put XP PRO in that virtualbox.
My cd is one of those dumb reinstallation CDs from Dell.
I won't work in the VirtualBox.
    What are my alternativeso_O?
    Thanks for any replies.

    2% Ubuntu working on 3%

    Never tried it yet...

This is with the reg XP,
you should be able to adjust and run XP Pro also.

Note the part about adding your username to the vbox users group.

I'm afraid you are out of luck. The OEM cd looks for the Dell hardware and a Vbox session isolates the hardware from the guest OS. You could try d/ling an XP OEM iso from Piratesbay and seeing if your key will work with that but I don't know if that is legal or if it will even work with your key.
