Verdsid.exe ?

I can't find much on verdsid.exe. Can anyone help ?

 

Are you sure it's not verclsid.exe which is win. legit. and validates shell extensions?

The Verclsid.exe program validates shell extensions before they are instantiated by the Windows shell or by Windows Explorer.

Hello philby.....I think i got it right. Haven't allowed it, so i may see it again. If so i'll post back.

 

Prevx leans towards a possible worm (for verclsid). Threat Expert provides a classification, and depending on authenticity, DSL a workaround. Remember bub, _oogle's not the only game in town when it comes to digg'in these critters up. Lord knows how peep's search these days ....

Nah ... hit after hit tally no more than the sole other posting - "verdsid.exe file running in task manager?" You've got yourself a typo my friend.

Include the OS and reporting application next time, nobody needs to waste their time with XP when you're running Vista. Example.
