Veracrypt question

    I did full disc encryption including all partitions.

    I entered password and logged into PC. I want to backup certain files from PC to thumb drive.

    Are the files on the thumb drive encrypted or unencrypted?

    I plan to wipe drive on PC and install new OS and I don't want to find the files on thumb drive lost forever as they are very important to me.

    If your thumb drive is not encrypted, then the files you backed up to the thumb drive will not be encrypted. You are good to go.
