    hi,
i am getting occasional clients whereby they appear on the console as 'antivirus & antispyware protection disabled'.
my question is can this be restarted via the erac?
    cheers

At the client computer, is the protection also disabled there?

You can push out a config which puts a password protected configuration and check the option to start realtime protection during bootup. Then the problem should dissapear since they cant disable realtime AV anymore without a password.

If the clients are being disabled even though they are password pretected, then there are two possibilities. One would be that the users know the password and are disabling the software, or the ESET software is malfunctioning on those machines.

The Antivirus protection can't be disabled or enabled from the RA, since disabling the software is only a temporary setting used for diagnosing problems or for certain times when you would need to for a short period. Once the machine is rebooted, the protection is enabled again.
