    Hi,
    The weekly scans are taking over an hour, in some cases closer to 2 hours. i have set the following with little change;

    Smart Scan - Local Drives

    Object Settings
    Max Ob Size = 10mb
    Max Scan Time = 30 secs

    Archive Scan Setup
    Archive nesting Level =
    Max Sixe = 10mb.

    Has anyone any further suggestions and why can i not have a one time full scan when the product is loaded followed by real-time protection only?
    Any useful comments appreciated.
    Cheers

    I for one think that 1-2 hours are fine for a full system scan. It all depends on the number of files (especially archives) you have on the disk as well as on the complexity of files (runtime packed and protected files take more time to scan).

    I have already replied you. Decreasing archive nesting level to 5 won't make much difference as there are barely archives with a deep nesting.

    A "Custom Scan" of two Drives takes 30 minutes on my XP Pro SP3 Box.
