    HI,
Does anyone know which folders to exclude for ESS when using shadow defender to enable update?

    So far I have excluded C:\program files\eset\*
    and C:\programdata\eset\*

I am still not getting the updates to stick with these settings, and must be missing one somewhere.

    Running win7 64 bit

    Thanks

Yes, posted one up at the same time, but only one suggestion for one of the same folders I have already excluded, namely the hidden programdata\eset folder.
Maybe when Marcos or someone from Eset is back at work after the new year break they can answer it.

Hi, thanks to TheQuest, I have found a combination that works on the updates :)

For anyone else interested in trying the awsome combination of ESS and shadowdefender, you need to do the following,
Make hidden files visible, and then exclude the following folders,

    C:\program files\ESET\*
    C:\programdata\ESET\*
    C:\Users\yourusername?\AppData\Roaming\ESET\*

This combination is working flawlessly and you wouldn't ever know shadowdefender is working, it runs so light.

They do a fully functioning trial for 30 days for anyone that wishes to try it, and it runs on 64 bit windows 7 too.

    Regards Rollers
