Not unlike many other forum participants here, I use Ccleaner. While I don't use its registry applet since I have more powerful & efficient alternatives. I do use the main module. I've customized / added some of the folders it scans / cleans. Can anyone see any downside to this configuration or any additions I'm missing?

On a "normal scan" I don't think so. I get much more detail / files on the "to be deleted" screen if I use this configuration.

    Hi All:

This free tool is now at V1.37.456 just upgraded the other day.

It is far and away a very easy and safe tool to clean up all our &^&^% that we leave around! If you haven't tried it do so! If you are a bit nervous at first take an image backup you can restore from. On first use you wouldn't believe the space I saved with it!

I also believe it speeds my PC up! Just Google the name and download it!

    Regards

Good advice about the image backup. I would not describe this app as safe.

Not from me. I recommend this to my clients everyday and have never known anyone to have a problem. Any program ever written will have caused a problem to someone somewhere in the world but this program has got to rank with those that have caused the least damage.
