I just got an Averatec Tablet Pc, 3500

I did a backup from c: partition to D: partition.
I then tried to RECOVER the c:, got DISK NOT FOUND

followed threads, got latest version, got that problem fixed.

    created full recovery CD.
could NOT ACCESS USB drive (external)

created SAFE recovery CD (made on that machine)
I WAS (AM ) able to access the USB drive, and am in process of trying a backup of the c: partition

Just my two cents to pass on, the FULL RECOVERY CD is still a problem for detection, but in my case the SAFE recovery disk worked

    Hello aoz,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please boot the computer with the full CD created with the build 859 and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears? After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the "OK" button and wait for # prompt to appear. Please insert a diskette into a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands:

    cd tmp
    mkdir mntdir
    mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
    sysinfo > mntdir/sysinfo.txt
    umount mntdir

Send the sysinfo.txt file from the diskette to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread and the full model name of your external hard drive. We will investigate the problem and try to help you with the solution.

    Thank you.

I have done this, I took pictures, and hve emailed them to you (I don't have floppy), I emailed them this morning
    thank you for your assistance

I received a reply back, the automated reply (no tracking number) asking for the REPORTS.exe to be run, I ran that on the machine, and sent it also.
I'll let you know if I do not get a reply back in a couple days.
I do hope they can get to the bottom of this issue
    thanks
    Nick
