Update remote users from 2.7 to 3.0

We have some remote users in our company that don't use our network for updating NOD32 2.7. They update through our webserver.
All those users have v2.7 installed and we want an easy way to update to v3.0.
The hard way would be mailing the new guidelines to update themselves, but that takes a long time before everyone would be running the new version.

In the past i did this once with password protecting the settings in v1.0, but now i don't remember how i did it that time.

So the case is:
remote users update from v2.7 to v3.0 settings stay the same.
Can this be done?

 

Hi, If I understand, you’re asking if the same configuration settings for your 3.0 clients can be used for your 2.7 clients. This is not possible--you will have to create a new .xml configuration file for use with the 3.0 clients.

Not exactly the same settings. My mistake.
The 2.7 remote users need to automatically update to v3.0.
The differences would be the updateserverpath, password and username.

So how do i make a xml file that can update the remote users to version v3.0?
Is it done by hand? Do i need to use ERAS?

 

You can accomplish this by "pushing" v3 to the clients, reinstallation over v2 is supported.

 

Pushing was indeed what i meant. But how? The remote users are not in our network.

 

Unfortunately, upgrade to v3 through mirror is not available yet. We are working on it and it should be available some time soon.
