I'm currently testing True Image with Universal Restore and it is working a treat! What an excellent product!

If I just wanted to backup each workstation every day (with the idea to restore each workstation from it's own backup when neccessary - NO cross platform restores) AND the workstations have dynamic disks (which Acronis doesn't support) couldn't I just use Windows Backup?

    Your ideas are welcomed :)

Acronis server products support dynamic disks, workstations don't?

I wouldn't personally use plain Windows NT Backup for much of anything... check out BackupAssist, if you insist going with NT Backup.

However Acronis is magnitudes faster than NT Backup, and the restore is really simple and fast, compared to NT Backup restore, where you have no fast way to do it, and usually have to setup minimal Windows first just to be able to run the restore from it.

Yes, there is ASR, but it is difficult to automate, and it's still slow.
