I imaged my drive using TI 9.1 workstation before buying UR. Now that I have UR, do I need to re-image my drive or can I still use that first image if I want to restore to new hardware?

    Hi,

you can restore with universal restore to the new hardware. The universal restore process jumps in after the restore process. It is even possible to universal restore an image made by TI7.

Welcome to the blue (not yellow) product line... ;-)

    VolkerNadolski,

Your answer above really piqued my curiosity..... are you implying that you can use Acronis' "Universal Restore" with ANY version of True Image, e.g., versions 8-10? I was under the impression that "Universal Restore" was an addon for True Image Workstation and not for the "Home" versions.

VolkerNadolski meant that the images made with version 7 of True Image
are also suitable for Universal Restore to work.
Universal Restore is indeed only for the Workstation and NOT for Home versions of True Image.
