Hello! I read in the KB article that if user wants to uninstall ESS, Eset recommends to use the uninstaller from Windows Start Menu, not from the Control Panel. I noticed that both of them are basically the same (will open the same uninstaller menu from ESS and will perform the same task also). Any explanation will be very appreciated. Thank you.
Hello encus I think the only difference on the two methods to uninstall Eset, in this example,is that it is easier for the average user to find and manage the uninstall process through the start menu.(all in all more user friendly) Regards, Janus
They way I see it uninstalling your software via the start menu or control panel reaches the same uninstaller, a bit much fuss about nothing, in my opinion - despite what Janus has so keenly observed as being left behind in the registry. If you want to be really thorough, use the manual uninstaller. Be sure to export your settings first. Regards,
