I have just installed Disk Director 10.0.
The first thing I tried to do is create a bootable disk.
The program crashed with the following error:

"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in MediaBuilder.exe [2376]"

How can I trust this product to handle my data?

To add insult to injury, I have to buy support?

    Am I missing something?

    Any help wold be appreciated.

I think I've seen your issue come up previously on the forum. Acronis shares some of their installed components between Disk Director and True Image. Both, for example, have Bootable Media Builder. Since you installed the newer program first (TI 2009) followed by the older program last (DD 10), the installation of DD 10 must have replaced some of the shared Bootable Media Builder components with older versions.

You can probably fix this by uninstalling both products and then install DD 10 first, followed by TI 2009 second.

The best way to get support is to use the Live Chat feature on the Acronis web site. Or, there are a number of knowledgeable DD 10 users here in the forum who can help.

Thank you for your quick and helpful reply.
Now that I have a bootable CD, I also tried to run DD10 from there.
DD10 on bootable CD could detect any hard drives. This is of prime important to me.
I could not find chat on the website. Well hidden? Where is tech support chat?

Go to the Acronis Support page.
In the Contact us section, click the Start here button.
A window will pop-up. Select the Technical issue with the product option.
Log into your Acronis account (if necessary).
Follow the steps, select your product and then you can select the Live Chat option.
