    Hi All,

I am trying to download NOD32 from Eset's website with my user name and password. In the past, this has worked flawlessly.

I put in my username and password and click ok, but the same box just opens up again (blank) prompting for my username and password.

I am using Windows XP w/SP2 and Firefox. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this one folks?

    Thanks in advance as always,

    Jag

Any specific setting Stephanos? I just checked my fw log but I see nothing out of the ordinary in there. :doubt:

Are you sure you try to download the right version (standard / administrator) ?
And the next question is ... is your licence still expired ? ;)

    Yes to number 1.
    No to number 2.

My current license is valid until January 2006. ;)

Do you use a download manager/accelerator (another than the one in Firefox) ?

None at all. This it the first time this has ever happened to me.

I just sent a support request to Eset. I will keep my fingers crossed and post back here with the results, good or bad. ;)

I tried the site and it works. Check if your user name has capital letters.
The most possible is that u use wrong user name or pasw. Check the small and capital letters.

    Hiya Stephanos,

I double checked that and it still did not work. I copied and pasted it directly from my e-mail with negative results.

I even tried disabling my sw firewall to boot, that did not work either.

It's a strange problem indeed, esp since it's never happened b4. But I guess there is a first time for everything! :D

Are you sure you're trying to download the standard version if you acquired a home user license for 1 PC?

Marcos - Yes I am sure it's the correct one. :p

Blackspear - Thanks for the offer but Eset tech support sent me a link via e-mail which worked, was very strange.

It still does not work for me either with FF or IE. I wish I knew what was causing the problem, as I will be unable to download any future updates to NOD32 should I choose to do so.

The offer remains, if it proves to work here this would point to an issue on your machine, if not, then I would be asking for a change of UN and PW.

    Cheers :D

I think it is a problem on my machine, as Eset tech support tested it out and they said they were able to dl NOD32 with no problem.

The strange thing is, that it used to work with no problem at all. And furthermore, I have not made any changes to this pc at all.

So Im a bit perplexed as to what is causing the problem. :doubt:

Thanks for your help Blackspear (and the offer), it is always much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jag :D

Ahhhh at least we know. I would still request a new UN and PW to see if that will fix the issue.

    Cheers :D
