U.S. Bill To Criminalize Illicit Movie / Music Streaming.
What about sites that post Youtube videos? If it is a video of something copyrighted that did not have "permission" to be uploaded would that be considered illicit streaming?
In that case they just made 90% of the Internet illegal. Look at all the forums and blogs that post videos.
Very dangerous...we could potentially all become criminals just by using our browser.
Doesn't the article mention that it would bring the punishment for streaming copyright content in line with the punishment for downloading or torrenting? So to me this is more "closing a loophole" than something really new like suddenly making it a criminal offence if you obtain copyright material online. Since it was already illegal, it seems to me that closing this loophole was pretty much inevitable.
