Two sound icons Lucid panel - old Karmic and new Lucid icons

    Everytime I click on the sound icon and select Sound Preferences, another sound icon (the old one as it was in Karmic) appears on the panel.
    It can't be removed unless I log out. Removing the correct icon and then adding it back via the indicator applet makes no difference.
    Only a very minor irritation - any ideas ? (Have also asked in Ubuntu forum)

    Solved. In Sound Preferences I selected 'No Sound' as sound theme. This removed the extra sound icon. Now if someone would want the Ubuntu sound theme activated, they will get the extra icon as described above. Surely this can't be by design ?

    Delete the old icon in /usr/share/icons
