  1. Hello.

I'm having a problem getting the bootable CD to load my Broadcom Extreme Gigabit network card.

I can't get the bootable CD to load it for me, so I can't get access to my image server.

    HELP !!!!!

    Please....

    Hello Lars Eriksson,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

Acronis True Image 8.0 does support Broadcom Extreme Gigabit network card. Can you confirm that you boot Acronis Bootable CD normally but do not see the network when choose the image destination?

Please note that if haven't got DHCP server in your network you might need to input the correct data into "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Network adapters". If you have DHCP server Acronis True Image will determine it automatically and all the necessary data will be input.

If it is not the case (for example, the same CD works fine on another machine) then please try the "acpi=off noapic" way (please see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317 for the details) and if the problem remains please create the sysinfo.txt file (see the same link section II point b) and send it to support@acronis.com along with the description of the problem.

    Thank you.

  3. I boot it fine enough.
But I don't even see the networkcard in the options menu. :(
So I don't see the network icon even.....

I have found you letter and according to it you have 768 build. Please note that the latest build of Acronis True Image is 786. You mau download it from http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/ after registring at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/registration/. Please let me know if it is a typo or you really have the old build of Acronis True Image. It is important because the error you get may result from it.

Also I don't recommend you to post your e-mail address in public forum. You may send me a PM if you wish to tell your e-mail or other confidential information (for example in some cases the serial number for the product is needed though now it is not the case). That is why I edited your last message and removed your e-mail. Hope you don't mind :) .

    Thank you.

    Hello Lars,

We are glad to hear you have solved the problem.

Sometimes you may purchase not the latest build of Acronis software because our builds are released quite rapidly. But you always may download the latest one.

Also when you purchase Acronis software at our online store http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/sales/online/ you always get the latest build.

    Thank you.
