    Hello,

    Each time a scheduled backup starts either automatically or if I trigger it manually a dialogue box pops up saying that the application has failed to start.

    I looked through other threads with similar issues and some seem to be sporadic and clear themselves (this doesn't - been like it for weeks now) or just die (so I assume are resolved somehow, but with no explanation).

    My problem seems to be persistent and reproducible.

    I tried capturing the crash dump (by following the instructions from another posting) but no files were generated.

    I can't tell you the build number at this stage as it's not obvious how to get this - there's no Help -> About, for example.

    Any help here would be appreciated as at the moment the software is pretty useless.

    OS is WinXP Pro, SP3.

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Just found the Version info (build 9615).

    But the Help menu is hidden until you press the Alt key. Now that's just silly. I'd suggest that this menu bar is permanently visible, or at least visible by default.

    Hello Andy,

    Thank you for using Acronis True Image

    Please download and install the latest build #9709 (or #9646 if you use the German version). You can learn more on how to download the latest build here

    After that please do the following:

    1) Please re-start Acronis scheduler.

    - Download a special Acronis utility;
    - Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
    - Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:

    schedmgr task zap
    schedmgr service stop
    schedmgr service uninstall
    schedmgr service install
    schedmgr service start

    This should delete all Acronis tasks on the PC. You should manage your tasks from the scratch.

    2) Please install SnapAPI380 update file available here, reboot the computer to complete the changes and see if the issue remains.

    Thank you.
