Has anyone used the trial for Trend Micro Anti-Spyware?

I'm curious to know if it acts the same way that AVG Anti-Spyware (and formerly ewido) does in the sense that the resident guard with auto-definition updates is active for the 30 day trial, after which the product then becomes an "on-demand scanner" only with no guard and manual updates.

    Thanks

I've used the trial version, i believe you can still use it after the 30 days but it doesn't let you update the definitions.

thanks for the replies, farmerlee and lodore.

Wow, what a bummer. From everything I've read and heard.....IF....it acted as AVG and allowed users to manually update as well as scan after the trial period, I think it would be one of the better and more highly recommended AS apps here and at other security forums. Oh well....

@ lodore - thanks for your help with the hyperlink thing :D

and @ farmerlee - thanks for your input on PFW ;)

It's a really good anti-spyware program and really cheap to buy on ebay if you look hard enough. The venus flytrap is good at protection, but I still don't know if it uses heuristics too.

    Thanks, disinter1.

But what about yearly renewals (for definitions and product upgrades, etc.)? I haven't read anything about that, so I'm not sure if it is full price, half price, 40%/30%/25% off, etc. o_O

I think I remember it being 14.99 to renewal per year, not to bad at all!:D I could be off by a little though;)
