TL just updated to version 0.2.7.
Here's a screenshot of the settings page...
(Looks like they've added a 'Send anonymous reports' feature)

Are you aware of a changelog? Sometime ago, in the BitDefender AV thread a developer mentioned there were going to be great news about it, but... I'm not seeing the anonymous reports as being a great feature. :argh:

By the way, can you access https://trafficlight.bitdefender.com/ ? I'm getting a time out error in Chromium.

Not aware of a changelog, no, m00nbl00d.
And I see nothing on their forum about it.
As for the 'Send anonymous reports' feature, I was reluctant to even refer to it as such.
It's more like a function, and one that I often feel compelled to turn off.
Sorry I can't provide more info.
I suddenly noticed it updating as I was using the computer just about an hour ago.

PS- No, I can't access that site either. :)

I found it on Chrome web store.

Do they plan to block ads? and I just saw the change when i'm browsing on facebook. in every link posted it contains BDTL logo.

    The Facebook part sounds contradictory.

Yes development seems to be really slow on this o_O
The web installer version seems like it has never changed.

A Firefox Addon's Update check does not yet show any updates. It has been many months since I have seen an update.

I know the FF version used to be very heavy on the CPU. It was gone within 30 min of installation on my computer.

They could change the icon to the same icon provided in this example screenshot: -https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/trafficlight/cfnpidifppmenkapgihekkeednfoenal?hl=en (the first screenshot)

The (green/red/other) circle with the check/question/exclamation/whatever mark would look better for the icon next to the address bar, IMHO.

Does anybody know if it actually blocks trackers? Or just detects them?

I read somewhere that TL slowed browsing considerably and used about 30MB of Ram. Is there any improvement with the new release?

I installed the Chrome extension yesterday. So far I haven't noticed any slowdown nor high RAM usage.
    I don't know about the cross-browser version.

The cross browser resident version of this slowed my browsing down to a crawl and constantly used 25mb of ram. I migjt give this version a try later pending more positive reports.

I am also using the Chrome & Comodo Dragon Extensions. No noticeable slowdowns here.

Is this the same web blocker that can be found in all bitdefender products or is this a totally different thing.?

I think it's pretty much the same - although I've noticed that the Chrome extension actually has a few more options than the toolbar that comes with Bitdefender. So in some ways it looks like the extension has more functionality. Kind of confusing...

It appears to be that it only detects trackers but doesn't block them... which is kind of useless if you ask me o_O
