    Hi all,

I only recently downloaded Total Uninstall and there is something I´d like to know and someone more experienced might be able to help me with it.
I installed a program with TU monitoring and un-installed it without monitoring. Now the program is no longer listed in TU. Is there still some way to find out what was left behind?

    Regards,

    Pieter

I don't think so Pieter. If you use Total Uninstall to do the uninstalling, the entry is left so you can check it.
Sorry to say I think you shot yourself in the foot on that one.
    OUCH! :D
You must be like me and learn things the hard way. :D

    Pieter?

Have you taken a look at regcrawler yet?
I use it to locate those hard to find registry listings.

Download trial, Search with it for the program you are looking for.
For instance, Total Total Uninstall Uninstall
you will be surprised at what you find.

Not just in the foot, root ;) Let's say it will take some time before I can sit down again :D
I do have a habit of learning the hard way indeed.

    Controler,

I'll see what Spybot S&D, JV16 en Regrun come up with and check out regcrawler later. One thing I learned the hard way is not to install too much in a short period.

    Regards,

    Pieter

From my experience with all of the programs you mentioned?
None will find as many entries as regcrawler when it comes to removing old reg entries.
Do not get me wrong here, I love Regcleaner, Spybot S&D.
I am thinking I was one of the first to bring news of Regcleaner to this forum? I am not promoting Regcrawler in any way.
I am only trying to state the facts.

    Hapy hunting Peiter :D

    Don't worry controler ;)

I'll give regcrawler a try. But all you guys know so many great programs, it takes a while to check them all out.
Especially if you really want to test them and not just have a quick glance.

I'll work on my aiming as well :D

    Regards,

    Pieter

Pieter, if it's causing problems, how about reinstalling with TU and then uninstalling with TU?

That's a very good idea, root.

At least I found out what caused all this.
Installing this "thing" with TU skips a few steps in the normal install for some reason, and that´s probably why it doesn´t show up in TU´s list.
I think Spybot got rid of everything BTW :D

    Regards,

    Pieter
