I want to use a backup task (true image home 11)on a usb drive, which is not switched on all the time.
I created a backup task for this drive and I need the information/confirmation if it is connected. Therefore I wrote a batch command and put it in the pre command window of the task sheduler. That means, open an cmd-window with information text and use the dos command "pause" to hold the window open for a confirmation to connect the usb drive manuelly.

    Batch:
    echo "Infotext"
    pause

This batch worked fine if I checked it under my Vista account but didn't worked within the task sheduler. Bad result with the check button.
My expected cmd window is not visible, and the task is hanging.
(Waiting for the confirmation of the "pause" comman?)

Thanks for your help in advance

TI does not "directly" support interactive commands. I've been working on a program to solve this, but it's still in the early stages. It works, but not all the features are coded (automatic detection, etc.).

The Command Prompt window is running as a background process and has no access to any other programs, including your "normal" Windows. No windows will show on the screen. This is the same for ANY program you run this way.
