    Hi Bob B - your frustrating problem seems similar to mine - was it resolved or is it ongoing - I am toying with putting my old hard drive back in the laptop even though I'd lose the extra 100MB . . . I can only take so much of this . . . I'm sure all Acronis need to do (as so many people have this problem) is make a patch fix that will modify the interface slightly to display 'intelligable options', rather than sending the user down a culdesac with no way out . . . thanks!

    sorry I see your issue was resolved! My laptop with the new drive just BlueScreened (while on this forum) . . so I don't know what's going on now . . .
