ThreatFire is arguably 'out-dated' as some people pointed out here but it's free....
Mamatu is 'up-to-date' but it isn't free and that hasn't been pointed out here:p

ThreatFire all the way!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
Can't wait for the release of the new stable version... currently in beta... long time awaited...:argh:

IME, Mamutu seemed more like a HIPS and has lots of config tabs and stuff. I'm not saying that's not good. I like popups indeed, but considering itself as a BB, i personally think TF is much more quiet than Mamutu without sacrificing security... just my opinion.

have you tried level 5 and checked of all the custom rules for threatfire?

it acts more like a hips at level 5.

i thought behavior blockers dont rely on signatures so why does it matter if its updated or not.

i know that they both have auto updates almost everyday though, is it signature updates or something else?

well behavior blockers work by pre programed rules, as new malware is discovered and new methods for malware distribution are created, new rules and updates to old rules need to be added, even without updates a BB will provide good protection because it has those broad rules that cover a lot of malware, but the consistant updates help BB's to stay on top of malware
