That sucks :thumbd: . Why can't the firewall stay free for cheapos like me :D . Oh well, maybe it's time to try coreforce...

Yea, but, if the newer version isn't any good I'll just keep using this version, as it works fine for me and no leaks or probs with it.

If the new version is good, I might buy it, but I'm not looking for a firewall that upgrades every year and then starts adding bloatware to sell its newer version like kerio 4 did and zonealarm does!

Guess we'll just have to wait and see how good (or bad) v2 is.. Plus they do mention a free 'lite' version, so you never know, that may be good too..

Yep kerodo, that's true, but it does say they are discussing a lite version so probably not in the pipeline just yet me thinks, just a pro version coming first?

    First I thank you guys,

Second it's very sad if Jetico stop the freeware, where we suppose to go for free version of course, If symantec buy sygate and stop the personal firewall and kerio also sell the personal firewall to sunbelt Co. with no info about new version the last one is fully bugy or there strategy to development the software.

The other free firewall (Zonealarm - Outpost) is very limited to configuration and bad in play online Game - P2P like zonealarm, or we cannot connect to the internet from LAN computer like outpost.
